Default Roads

Just trying to gather information/opinions for the best roads and routes in the UK preferably in the North East. The bvious choice being the moors/dales but wondering if anyone else has any ideas for roads to try out.

Cheers.

Wales for sure, although the Lakes/Dales a few years back was pretty impressibe too.

are you coming to MegaMeet ?

Steer well clear of the Surrey Hills unless you install anti-cyclist bars on the front

Sorry to interupt your thread, but while we're on the subject, anyone got any suggestion for good driving roads south of London to the West country? Thanks

A30 is scenic but takes forever. A303 can be interesting - and you get to see Stoneghenge

but they are all in a fairly straight line....

Just meeting with some friends and the area above is kind of in the middle. I guess if you took the M23 to the East, the M5 to the West and the M4 to the North. That area.
