Al_G, how did it go in the end with thesofttopshop? Were you happy with the quality and fitment? Do they offer S2KI forum discount?

Any pictures?

My car could benefit from a new roof, but it's a 700+ mile round trip so need to be absolutely sure.

Hey buddy,

Yes, after nearly 2 years its still as good as new (my s2k is a garage queen that doesn't do many miles mind).

The quality and fitment is OEM (hood is sourced for the USA) and IMO the mohair is a significant improvement over the original vinyl.

The owner/fitter took great care of my car. I'd just picked it up from the bodyshop 2 hours prior so the paint was very soft. No marks or damage to either the outside of inside of the car.

Drainage holes were cleared, any sharp ages on the frame filed and the new hood came with extra patches to protect against the known wear area.

I'd not hesitate to use them again.

Looks great, as you say, very OEM!

Will give them a shout at some point. If I'm keeping the car, then I'd be best lining up a few jobs if driving it all the way down south.

Thanks for posting the feedback.
