Default Rotrex finaly installed

I picked my car up today from TTS

first impressions are its quick but deceptive it does not have that jeckel and hyde personallaty either side of 6K you get a strong push after 4K then it realy comes on strong the higher up the revs you go. its quite civilised under 4K and no problem to drive in trafic. I think the best way to sum it up is, the car I had before the S was a 150 BHP Alfa 155 and the S felt outstanding in comparison, one of the reasons for going for a SC was I felt I had got used to the power and it no longer felt special - it does now
one issue is the oil temp is up by 10 degrees on "normal" driving and i had it at 110 degrees C after some spirited driving, is this normal? is it just a case of fitting an oil cooler
Back to back comparison on the same dyno
before max bhp 147 max torque 94.5 ft lbs
after 274 bhp 178 ft lbs
lets not start the debate again about numbers just look at it as a % increase to get an idea

So based on real numbers of 237@ crank, you now have 440bhp! Not bad

that is a good jump there! My oil temps shot up, as did my water temps. An ally rad helped, but a dedicated oil cooler will do wonders.

Have you got a dyno plot you can post? It would be really interesting to take a look and compare it to the kraftwerks kit and also comptech and vortech.

Congratulations, you must be chuffed

I have a CAI fitted and love the sound so I am a bit concerned that without an exhaust an sc'd s will sound quite dull...

Have you got an exhaust?

Also the plate on the front that holds the charger in front of the belts appears to be movable, is this how you tighten the superchargers belt?

It seems strange that the same SC can be mounted differently.

This is a Rotrex SC installed on an S that i recently saw in the states. It was a pretty tidy setup.

its not possible to mount like that on a right hand drive
Wingnut
I will post a photo of the dyno chart
there are 2 tensioners 1 manual to take the slack and one sprung to keep it tight, I have a Spoon N1 exhaust but it still sound good especialy liking the sound of the BOV on gear change
I am well chufed with the conversion, just a little nervous with the oil temp, what temp should i not run the oil past?
