Ox' oil temps up to 120-30 C are OK with good synthetic oil. An oil cooler looks in order if you were to track day etc. Paulo wants a cooler (the Portugues guys car) so I will develop a kit. The parts are readily available and reasonable price. I will make up a couple of kits. email me.
Glad you had some fun with the car today, I can't wait to build mine.

non supercharged S2000's reach that sort of temperature on track..

so as you suggest.. oil cooler would be essential for prolonged high rpm..

I've been looking into this too.

If you could make a kit up I'd be after one.

I'd be after a sandwich plate with two take offs for the cooler, and then two take offs for pressure/temperature.

I was also after a thermostatted one, but can't find one plate that will do the lot.

I was seeing 115 degrees last summer at (high)motorway speeds.

I don't understand those original power ratings. It looks like the original was 150whp and <100 ft-lbs. which I have never seen quoted for an S till now.

Anyone can clear this up for me?

the figure quoted is wheel horse power not enginee power output.

Don't look at the numbers, look at the %age gains. It should give you an idea of what extra you get "over stock".

We had a LONG discussion about this last time (and why it was asked, not to have it again in this thread )

old thread which explains the low "before" output is here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=585177

so oil cooler may be in order...

Bibbs are you fitting an oil pressure guage or would that not have helped you avoid your problem?
