Rush hour +
and my car cuts out and the battery is suddenly dead!
Deep Joy.
Gets out, pushes the car to the side of the road while the odd twat howls with laughter at my misfortune.
Very shortly before hand, when coming to a stop, the revs hung around 2,000rpm before dying completely and I only just caught it. Then I moved off and at the next stop it did the same but I didn't catch it and the car died - pressed the red button and all the lights go off and it's completely dead - dead enough for the stereo to need the security code!
Anyway, call Honda recovery who have to come from across the city bearing in mind the time of day and also call a work mate who turns up 20mins later with a set of jump leads
Car fires first time although the idle is very, very low - one bar showing on the tach. It then goes up to normal after a few mins of me revving. Turned off and tried the battery - seems fine.
Cancelled the recovery and gingerly through an hours worth of stop-start traffic got her home by braking and making sure that my heel was on the go pedal to make sure she didn't stall.
Terrible journey.
Got home - car seemed fine.
It was already booked in for a service on Sunday so the numpties at the stealer can have a look.
No CEL, so I doubt it's thrown any codes.
Anyone have this before?
