that doesn't look too good at all. When I was mine next I will be checking for all pit marks in the paint work.

Hope you get it sorted soon

Rust near a seam weld and nowhere else (apart from chip damage) doesn't bode too well... definitely get to the bottom of it.

Point of Law - The Sale of Goods Act dictates that goods must be sold of a satisfactory quality; if there has been an accident repair - it wasn't declared at the time of sale - and I would deem that they were not sold in totally good faith (the RRP didn't reflect this)

You can reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, and get your money back within reasonable time (not me) otherwise, you are entitled to damages, a repair or replacement.

I'm going to ask the dealer to check up on the records for the car. I'm sure Honda are legally obliged to keep track of any repairs/maintenance made to the vehicle. Alternatively, if it's the dealer, they're in trouble as there is no record of it in the logbook. Therefore, if it's in the system, which it would be again, i'll be wanting to know.

Unless I'm mistaken of course!

as far as I was aware as long as it's been repaired to the correct standard I wasn't sure if the dealer was under any obligation to say anything?

I rejected a car straight away because I could see it had been repainted ....dealer was 'suprised'....mmmm

thing is a large proportion of the cars on the road will have seen a bodyshop at some point in their lives

Oh aye... I know what you mean.

Thing is, if this paint job is 'defective' then that may bring about a different set of factors.

I'm out for all I can get!!

Just heard from the dealership - St. Andrew's Honda...

Honda have approved the repairs!

Just have to get it in now... getting my recently discovered leaking boot fixed at the same time (anyone else had this prob - driver's side)

Phew-bloody-tastic!

I had that..it was on my bonnet and I scratched it to buggery.

Scratch X and Zymol got rid of it luckily.

Next time I'll soak it first. Bloody birds..why can't they crap on next door's cats ?
