Anyone tried them?

Booked to have my car done after having my new lower front arms and front subframe replaced under warranty. I am just having the hardwax underbody protection done rather than the whole cavity protection business.

Cheaper doing it yourself but my time is worth more than spending part of my weekend lying on back getting covered in the stuff and probably doing it badly on axle stands

Oh they are quite close!

I wonder if it is worth doing on a car with 137k on the clock?

Had the waxoyl treatment carried out by Rustmaster today as part of my winter protection process 1)copperease alignment bolts 2) waxoyl treatment

Carried out by Michael who is the chap who runs it and appears on said website.

Dropped it off and came back four hours later - all done. I have not been under the car properly but looking from the underneath side it looks excellent. As mentioned I had new parts to the car due to corrosion of the alignment bolts but some of the cross braces and other chassis elements also had rust from 2 winters.

Pics below with one pre-treatment shot from this spring.

The car cabin reeks of the stuff but a friend who had done itself had warned of this and it goes away after a couple of days.

Michael seems a top bloke and offers a free touch up service. My car goes up on his website as car of the week next week if you want to see more pics.

Wish I had thought about doing this before but next time I have a new car, it goes in straight away for the same again

San should've had that done - would've been loads better for the new owner, stop all those holes in the floor.
