mechanical mods? I'd draw the line at tyres, brake lines, fluid & pads, air filter element, sparkplugs. Cat back exhuasts and new manifolds are probably OK too. Induction kits are likely to attract a premium surcharge though, ECU swaps almost certainly I would think.

Bolting on some forced induction isn't going to fly with them!

Tifosi (or anyone else for that matter)

What effect will these mods have on the warranty. I want to put some 'green' pads on the front. Will my dealer get snotty ?

Thanks in advance for a response !

Guy,
I think the answer is that you do these mods at your own risk, and a lot depends on what sort of mods you're taking about. Your warranty doesn't automtically become invalid whatever you do. Each request for warranty repair would be dealt with on it's merits. The warranty work may well be refused if it's felt that the mod has contributed in whole or part to to a particular breakdown. Your warranty continues with each claim being considered on it's merits. Attitudes will vary from dealer to dealer, but they do need to show that a mod has contributed to a particular failure to refuse the warranty work.
