I agree whe I had my first car ( a mini) over ten years ago always got ways from fello mini drivers but driving round the Manchester area the last five S I have waved at have all ignored me and I know at least three of them saw me these people just do not understand the S2 community and would be better of drivering Z4's

dont get flashed around london - to many of them. there a 2 on my street, 1 in the next street along, 2 on the street where my fav curry house is which is 400m away

and its defo become a mass produced car too and being bought because it is gorgeous rather than for its handling and the driving experience!

A case in point, there is a lady at work who has bought an 04 in Nurby Blue because and in her words......."aw I have always had a Honda and its really pretty isnt it"

I must also point out that she is thinking of selling it because the drive is not like her other Hondas!!

I waved at A Honda BEAT today on the way back from MM3.

Got a wave back.

And a big grin & Nod from a guy in a Smart Rodster.

Drove 296miles back Not 1 S2000 seen!

I agree with san2000 it's probably got more to do with how common the car is. I see so few in Central Scotland that I would def wave if I thought the other guy could see me.

I would like to hope its the idea of driving spirit. One fellow enthusiast saluting another. It'd just make my journey a little more pleasant if it happened. Definately a worthwhile experience!

Same with Alfa Romeo - majority of owners not enthusiasts nowadays. It tends to be owners club people who wave to each other.
