Most car drivers are not car enthusiasts, so waving to a similar type of car must seem very alien to them. I'm not surprised by this, as I found it in the VW Golf community as well. Even Club GTI members would not always wave back.

All you can do is wave every time and hope you get a response

Same with alot of cars. When i first got my CTR last year 90% of the time i saw another and flashed they would do the same. Now i don't even bother as i'm used to the blank look back.

There's Many S's in London, 95% of them are Silver, I rarely get a wave but frequently see them rubbernecking in my rear mirror as they have never seen an Imola before. One guy wave's to me if I drive the S to work as our paths cross.
