Everything is different between the F20C and K20A2.

Read this : http://www.itepsa.com/samples/SIET199907_CH1_MAIN.PDF

and this - http://www.vtec.net/articles/view-ar...rticle_id=6500

A few facts off the top of my head.

The K20A2 is an iVTEC engine, F20C is not.
The engine is an F20C not a K20A2 which is fitted in the civic, this alone is enough proof haha.
The F20C has fibre reinforced cylinder walls.
The valve train setup is totally different, K20 the cam chain is run over the cam gears, the F20C runs on sprockets onto a main gear.
Uprated valves, springs, retainers for 9000rpm rev limit, pretty much all the parts are designed for the high rpm's.
The bottom end has a girdle to increase strength and the internals are forged.
The list goes on and on.

Surely there's only one pub fact that's relevant: The S2000 has 237bhp, whereas the Civic only has 197bhp.

The sintered metal rocker arms were a first, too.

(You mould them with a metal filings/epoxy mix & then bake off the epoxy).
