Default S2000, Great Car but.........

Every day for the past couple of weeks i have been getting false alarms, to make this more annoying it normally goes off at night or very early in the morning. Swithced off the internal sensors which still does not stop the alarm going off. I had exactly the same problem on my CTR. Why do Honda fit such C*** alarm systems to their well engineerd cars?.

Oh I now find out that Stratstone (used to be Priory) Honda Bedford now expect me to insure the courtesy car while they fix the alarm system.

My 02 started doing this after performing faultlessly for 2 years - then it started going off 30 seconds after it was set.

Dealer had to replace the main board of the alarm in the end.

Mine gives false alarms, but only after I've disabled the alarm, got into the car then try to start it.

Thanks for the advise Ian, checked the bonnet switch and it is the cause of the false alarms.

And I bet that's only if you open the boot first Gaz. Mine used to do the same - but it's been ok since I changed the battery.

The Prelude came with a receipt for that too!

I always thought a Honda with shite electrics was called a Rover.
