Conventional wisdom says if you plan to lay the car up for this long you should.

Check all fluids before lay-up

Add oil to the cylinders by taking the plugs out and putting a squirt into each.

Raise the car off the ground to avoid the tyres taking a "set".

Leave the handbrake off

Take out the battery and put it on charge

Find some way to wedge the clutch pedal down.

However the alternative is easier.

Get a battery conditioner (optimate or similar) and leave it connected and every 2-3 weeks on a dry day drive the car like you stole it. (once nicely warmed up.)

Some good advice there.

My view is that its a mechanical device and therefore needs regular use, so I would do a combination of the above and ensure it gets some use on dry days. Cars dont like being sat there - so many parts which need exercise.

I use my S all year round as a daily driver, and runs like a dream - I bought it to use it

You mean to 'mod' it

Best to drive the car, not to leave it in storage.

rat and mice poison + traps everywhere

if they go for the roof, let alone inside, you are looking at megabucks

I agree with all of the advice given above

the other thing you might consider is something like this:
