Quicker on the straights .. but they have levels of grip I just couldn't match. The gits.

Unless there's massive differences, one car being faster than the other on the road has got bugger all to do with the cars themselves.

It's more down to how it's driven and a million other variables so these comparisons are pretty meaningless, and I'm starting to think that's even more the case on track.

The S is quick enough to be fun and that's all that matters IMHO

At the end of the day most hot hatches these days aren't shy of 200bhp so the S is not really that far ahead.

I've been round with race drivers in crap boxes like Fiesta diesel's who would have owned me on a track, even if I was in something quick! So as people as already said the driver plays a huge part IMO.

I wasn't fussed about speed (much), once I fitted the HKS I just loved the sound.

So my 400 BHP mods, with my CG'ed chassis and some sticky track tyres should do it then!

As others have said it's all in the driver not the car!
