Price sounds about right for a private sale. I'd worry if finance tunred up on the HPI though - do personal loans normally appear in HPI checks???

not being very financially minded, and little experience in this - i think that personal loan = just money tied to that person and wont show on HPI.
finance is tied to the car.

Personal loans have nothing to do with the car so they cant show on HPI! Even finance isnt really a major probelm for most people. My mate sold his MINI with oustanding finance so the guy made a cheque payable to clear the finance and the balance he gave to my mate. Simple! Unless you owe more than its worth!
