A short video showing a J32A2 swapped S2K, interesting to mote the block still squeezes in behind the line of the front suspension towers. Gives a good idea of bay clearance too.

Chippo - J32A1, cheap as chips, plentiful and the same basic motor in both automotive and naval applications. 225bhp though.

After the comments the other day about engine size I did go and measure it and compare to the F20 and although it is hard to get an exact measurement without getting the car on the ramp, I estimate the J30 to be between 25mm and 50mm shorter than the F20 so with the adaptor plate in place it shouldn't sit any further forward than the F20
Can you link me to these cheap outboard engines, I've had a quick look and can't find them?
In other news I made some datum plugs at work today to plug up the crank and fixing holes so I can get a millimetre accurate measurement of the mountings, tomorrow I will be making a perspex adapter using the measurements before ordering my alloy plate and making the real thing. Hoping to be ready for a trial fit next weekend.

Will be keeping an eye on this, good luck with the build, if you need any help info or advice I'll try my best to help.
Like someone said I've done an engine swap to a V8 which is a tad bigger than your V6, you shouldn't have too many issues fitting it in, at least not as much as I did haha!
But yeah, crack on I'd love to see this completed!
