Actually, there are now rumours doing the rounds that Honda has stopped thinking about MX-5s or RX-8s and the new S2000 will be a proper sucessor to the current model. TFFT!

Even if it isn't called the S3000.

Yup.

There's been a couple of complimentary semi-official rumours (allegedly from within Acura US) and that was the most relevant.

Looks like the sub-Acura GT5000 coupe (XGA it was called!) could be back on again too, so we might not have to suffer the BMW M3er Coupe for ever!

It just makes overall sense from a product-planning perspective, so I'll give it some credibility.
