DIY mount for a PDA - it's wider than necessary as I had originally planned to stick a phone mount next to the PDA, but haven't got around to it.

I was wondering if anyone would have put one through there. I want ultra slim invisable though.

The brodit is another option But I think I'll bang my leg on it and I don't like the idea of staring down their for directions.

I'm a picky bastard.

Just taken a quick pic of mine (modifry 4", could get away with a 3" if you haven't got a widescreen one).

A short piece of aluminium bar with a right angle bend, two holes drilled, and a disk of perspex with the mounting screw sealed with silicon sealant, gives an ideal mount from the string bag peg in the passenger footwell. About 15 minutes work!

I mount my TomTom 710 on it. There is no vibration, it does not obstruct my vision, and it is less visible to prying eyes. You do not need to have it in your line of sight, as you can navigate on the spoken instructions alone.

I get over four hours of use from the internal battery, but if I need to plug any accessory cables in they tuck neatly down the side of the passenger seat.

Fantastic bit of ingenuity however still looking downwards though, I don't see any difference between that and the brodit one ... PS you don't bang your leg on the brodit, it is so close to the center console it is flush. I have a pic of it in situ, will go find it to show ...

Here you go

The passenger would bang their leg on dennohues I would have thought.
Could be pretty uncomfortable for leggy passengers.
