DO NOT SEND WESTERN UNION MONEY ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do it via Escrow, if the seller is genuine it'll be acceptable if it bogus it'll disappear!

DO NOT SEND WESTERN UNION MONEY ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you got the idea, do not send money orders, they are completely un-secure.

What's he buying for $3,500 the gear box and drive?

Cool deposit it via escrow. There are many companies that specialise in this.
I'll exchange with the seller if your friend want, I've been on the end of this before. A group of us used to take out scammers on EBay with bogus usernames. I was younger then, but it was good fun. We kept them busy and they didn't rip any one else off.
