Default Scared

A few weeks ago I booked the car in with Jack Smith to have the roof replaced. They told me they had a BMW in today but could fit me in as well.

I have just made the 19 hour trip from Guernsey to Swansea and found there’s no one here. I’ve rang them and I hear the phone ring in the garage.

Long shot I know but does anyone have any other contact numbers for them?

Crikey that's not good. I was there last weekend and had my roof replaced, I hope they can sort something out, Ray is a real nice guy - some miscommunication has happened somewhere along the line? Did you ring a few days prior to double check? Or did they not ring you?

I arranged a larger road trip around the roof replacement so at least I have a little bit of wriggle room before I'm on the ferry back to Guernsey

13 of those 19 hours were spent on the ferry over to Portsmouth so would have faced the same travel time wherever I went in the UK.

Honda dealership in Guernsey quoted me over £2,000 for a roof replacement

It was arranged over several phonecalls across a couple of weeks of working out schedules - Mainly the ferry schedule

Hopefully I can sort out a Plan B tomorrow

Made arrangements to return to Swansea on Monday.

New roof now all sorted including a load of extra work putting right problems caused by the previous roof replacement which had been a bit of a botch job by all accounts.
