Undercutting down the slow lane on motorways
you're not a middle lane driver are you?

On track, you should keep ahead of a standard scoob no problems. My mate has a 260bhp M reg and he pulls a little more on the straights and obviously has good traction but the S will be faster round the circuit. and Sti upwards could be a different matter. However, in a scoob you feel that the car, great as it is, is doing all the work. I found it somewhat uninvolving compared to S2000, elises, corrados (I had a vr6 which was more fun than a scoob imo), 7s etc.

Problem with scoobs are, as someone else pointed out, that they are getting cheap (to buy) and chav's are getting their hands on them. they can do far more harm in a scoob than in a hot hatch. dangerous combo really.

great cars, bad image. the sierra cossie of today.

hmm, I had an Impreza, sold it due to boring understeer, too easy to drive on the limit, but mainly the wide boy image that has arrisen round the car.

They are great cars, very quick, but SOME owners do drive them like f-ing idiots. I had some fun in mine, but I also saw others driving them in a manor that was just stupid(and gave the whole car a bad name)

4k buys a nag turbo import now................

Is a Chav like a Ned, in my parlance?

Taken from Glasgow Survival
The Cruiser Ned: It is unusual to find this ned outside a car unless he is being questioned by the police and they are usually only seen from chest level up wearing a burberry base ball cap. These cruiser neds are dedicated to making their cars look as stupid as possible and they regularly congregate at public parks and waste ground to show off how stupid the cars look and how many unnecessary things they have added to their "motors" that week. These neds consume a lot of money to pursue their hobby and so will protect their cars with their life so it is not advisable to do anything to their cars other than point and laugh. Some people may get mixed up between a "cruiser ned" and a "common ned in a clapped out nova". The main difference between the two is that a cruiser ned will travel in circles for a whole night pumping crap music out of the window where as a common ned in a nova will drive fast for a night then set fire to the car.

just called up a photo and, my god, that paint job is terrible ! My housemate used to have an Evo 6 and keeps encouraging me to get a Scooby Type C which Evo raved on about recently - my housemate just doesn't get it when I say that its obviously a quick car but probably not as satisfying to drive properly!

Had a traffic light encounter recently with a Scooby, it was very wet and the Scooby was behind me at the lights so he couldn't leap off the line with the AWD. Set off as quick as I could. Vtec 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. Rear wheels spinning all the way up to 70. Started to pull away from him but had to slow down as the speeds were getting a bit silly. pulled to the left and lifted the throttle(it was a dual carriageway) and he came to the side and slightly in front , then I thought sod this, and nailed the throttle , started to catch him up again . Didn't think I'd pull anything back once I'd let him past, but I did. HONDA POWER!
