Try Si at Hendy, you may get it even cheaper. Sounds a lot less hassle than you're having now.

If you want to remain parsimonious, try a search here, I think someone might have figured it out in the past when there was a lot of site traffic.

 

Any motor factor will have lots of springs all shapes and sizes, just find one that fits.
