Default SEAT BELT BUZZER

I consider myself quite bright and have used seat belts most of my life being fully aware of the stupidity of not wearing them.
However most car makers insult my intelligence with a blasted buzzer to remind me to belt up.

Should I decide to disconnect the yellow plug beneath the drivers seat, will this:
1. Confuse the engine management computer thingy?
2. Render the steering wheel air bag innoperative in the event of an accident?

It's hardly that annoying - I'd leave it as is.

Done it on all mine except the 06
IIRC the US cars have sensors on the seat rails for air bag deployment
Not sure the UK cars do.
Have a look under the seat, if they are both small green connectors with just two wires going in I say disconnect them!

Disconnecting the green wires will cause a major malfunction to the Flux Capacitor and Ejector Seat functions "YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED"

The seat belt one doesn't annoy me at all. I suppose that as soon as I get in the car I put the belt on any way.

But...

...When I am cleaning the car I like to listen to the radio. Unfortunately the key has to be in the ignition to do this so when I have the drivers door open the bloody warning alarm comes on. Now if someone has a mod to remove this irritant then I'd be interested.

Two minute job! Kiwi did mine at JAE last year and I could probably do yours by checking which wire was pulled out.

Dropping the roof is a bit difficult with the HT on I still have to open the door to hoover, dry the underside of the door and detail the interior

That would be great Kawasaki, and you're only a couple of minutes away.

PS Kawasaki the chap has now put NIOP up for the car in your sig
