Default Seperate boot light

Like many of us when messing about with the beloved one ( car not her! ) the boot is often open for long periods at a time with the integral light on and risking running down the battery. As a result I have removed the bulb.
Trouble is when I do need the light I either have to replace bulb or fumble with a torch.

Most hardware shops are currently selling a very neat circular self-adhesive battery operated LED light unit about 2" diameter. I chose a metallic red one & fixed it to the underside of the boot lid.
I may well get a couple for the engine bay.

How long do you leave the boot open? I doubt the bulb uses THAT much battery.

What do you actually do in your boot?? ...that can flatten your battery?

Edited; Due to too much red wine.

As MC Blade says, an LED is your best solution. Can leave the boot open for hours and its brighter too. Heres an option:
