Servicing and Fluids
Next month I'm looking to get my car ready for the Megameet also it's MOT and service time.
Normally I do the engine oil myself so that's not an issue, but this year I want to get the other fluids changed.
I wish to get the gearbox oil, diff oil, brake fluid and possibly coolant changed. I won't be taking it to Honda, I'll be taking it to an independent.
Questions are, which oil/brake fluid/coolant is required as I'm looking to buy it myself to save a few pennies over garage prices.
Secondly, how much would you expect a garage to charge to do all the above?
Thirdly, the front pads haven't been changed in at least 19k and I get some nasty brake fade, I guess it would be worth getting these done when the brake fluids replaced?
Thanks.

Haven't lifted a spanner in 20 years but changed the front brake pads in 15 minutes at the weekend (And I've driven and stopped since
) So that bit is extremely easy, so long as you have some Copperslip to hand to back the pads/shims.
Regarding gearbox and diff, not done it (yet) but watched others do it and looks simple so long as you have some way of pumping the oil into either from below the fill-hole - a thread on that in the last day or two, I'm sure.
