Default Shafted by Auto Modena

Despite checking and checking to find a reputable import company, it appears that Auto Modena have gone into voluntary liquidation.

No paddle .... and a murky looking creek ... are ahead of both myself and Dumbledore.

Gutted would be one word that you will be feeling right now I expect.

I pressume you paid your deposite to them and not direct to the garage abroad?
If you paid the supplying agent your ok, if there still in business that is!

Sorry to hear that...

All I can say from a friend who was caught in a situation like this, is press to find out your exact position quickly. If you've a large amount of money in their hands secure legal representation straight away. Liquidation, or anything else like that get very messy, and it's normally the consumer that's last on the list for any payout.

Good Luck!

-Brian.

I'm a member of Which? Legal Services who are due to call me tomorrow. I know Dumbledore is on the case too.

Just goes to show that no matter how careful and deliberate you are you can't legislate for the unpredictable.

Shite, I am really sorry (and shocked) to hear this Marc.

Brian's advice is good. If there is anything I can do to help, even if it's just buying copious quantities of beer, please shout

Damn - I'm so sorry Dog Bisuit and Dumbledore. I am currently signing my agreement with an official dealer in Holland - I hope everything goes okay. I was debating using Automodena but chickened out - probably cos I'm so paranoid!

Anyway, hope you get everything sorted - Or the UK S2K forum members could arrange a meet and go and sort those guys out? Just a thought!
