She was almost a gonner this morning
Hard to explain exacly what happened, negative camber on a corner, think the road then dropped down hill with the camber flattening out and then going positive.
No idea how fast I was going. It was too fast for this corner thats for sure
Whole side of the car felt like it left the ground, clunk as the suspension hung for a split second on the rear left, then as it came down massive oversteer as the rear made contact, huge wobble, car felt like it was about to roll landing on the outside of the tyre, huge under steer.. single track road.. Flaming eck.. heart in mouth moment.
That was the scariest moment in the S yet.
thank God I know the car now. Its incredible how your mind can work things through so quickly and your body can react in such a split second, knowing what the car is going to do when it lands, what you are going to do to recover it.. No idea really what I did but I guess its instant reaction.
Would have been a write off if I had done that the day I picked her up.

I think that's what they call 'exploring the cars' steering and suspension geometry to it's full extent to determine it's limits and boundaries'
or sh###ng yourself!!

Sounds like a normal trip to Tesco's to me Seriously though - I've taken the S down some of my old subaru haunts (single track roads with a surface half tarmac half mud) and it really isn't the S2000s road of choice! Fun with the waggy rear end but sobering given the value of the car.

It was all in the name of S2Ki! Trying to find you some decent roads for Monday since the route i woulda taken seems to have had a few lorry loads of mud dumped on it!
That pic really doest make the point mate.. will keep that pic in my mind next time.
Anyway, mapped out a great route for mondays drive. No tunnels I'm afraid but plenty of twisties and a few good VTEC straights.
No negative camber hump back bridges on corners in sight
