Shipping parts from the States!
Is there anyone who has had parts shipped from America?
I am curious to know if you get stung for VAT/handling once they land at airport. I was quoted $480 to ship bonnet, fenders and rear spoiler. Is this a good price? Don't want to get my eyes poked out if I can help it.
Any advice would be appreciated?

Really depends Chris. I have had stuff shipped from abroad about 6 items but only ever got stung for import duty once. Depends on the package size etc and if the vendor is willing to mark it as a gift of nominal value

Don't buy if you can't afford the duty - simple as that. Bank on 4.5% import duty. plus 17.5% vat on the lot (including shipping).
$480 shipping for that lot is good.
