Default Should I buy an S2000? Please Help

I know asking this question here might be abit baised. I have liked the S2000 for sometime. I currently have an MR2 and I would like to know if the S2000 would give me the same kind of fun. I have test driven one and enjoyed it but it would not be realistic to compare a test drive with everyday driving.

Also, is it worth buying a used one from a Honda dealer and what are the typical running costs?

There a few ex-MR2 owners on here IIRC.

If you liked it when you tested it you won't have any problems with it day to day if you are already used to a sportscar with not much space.

Running costs are relatively low for the class and not generally scary, although there would be a few things to be on the lookout for on older models that can cost to fix - no different from any other car really.

Buying from a dealer or private is the same as with any other car - balance warranty/security against higher cost.

Forum cars more likely to have been looked after as the owner would be more aware of the idiosyncracies.

What MR2 did you used to have?

I had a mk2 Turbo, and the cars are similar, but also quite different.

What sort of budget are you looking to be spending?

Nice (I had a rev1 NA and a rev2 Turbo).

10k should get a nice early one. See if you can get a glass rear screen, it makes a bit of difference.

Where in the UK are you based? Have a loot at as many cars as you can, and get an owner to come with you and have a look.

Ex 96 uk t-bar rev 4 n/a here too..Bought a 2000 plate S2000 in oct 05,then an 05 S2000 in march this year. Both are great cars,S2K is the perfect step up to the MR2..Loved my MR2,owned it for four years with no problems at all.

S are very cheap to run as long as you dont boot it everywhere, servicing is about the same from main dealer as the MR2 and reliability is almost the same too,few things to look out for with the S(do a search or check the FAQ)

Buy an S,you wont regret it...

I have just (my that i mean yesterday) bought an S2k to replace my Celica GT4.

All i can say is JUST DO IT.

Compared to be GT4 the runnings costs should be a lot less. Servicing seems very reasonable. Service intervals are good, parts are cheaper

I had trouble finding ny honda garage with second hand cars less than
