PS - Our second car's a Rover 216 SLi (perfect for the wife). Cheap to run, cheap to insure etc.
Whose wife?

List of things to do tomorrow:

1 Tell Lee the wedding is off
2 Drive the S, relaxed in the knowledge I will never have to drive a Rover 216

Sell the Golf as the S is a perfectly capable everyday car. I commute about 16 miles in London traffic everyday and it's been fantastic. Sell the Golf soon before the new model arrives or gets some advance publicity.

No wife is cheap to insure or run

The Rover is the wife's car - I only drive it when I'm forced to.

In almost 4 years, the wife has driven the S maybe twice (and that's only round the block)

I actually like having a little run around car. Sometimes I just can't be arsed with the S, I want something I can get in, press the accelartor down and not have to think, I bit like most beemer drivers.

The S is there for the 95% of the time, when I want to enjoy my driving
