Default Should I replace Rear Discs too

I've noticed the dust and crud from the fronts is terrible and the discs have deap scars in them, so I purchased some new oem front discs.

Is it really really important to do the pads at the same time?

I'll prepare the fins with paint and that should stop the dripping rusty water onto the wheels.

I need to replace my rear pads, would it be a good idea to do the rear discs too, I know they don't take the hammering the fronts do?

Yes it is important to put new pads on with new discs. The pads will have worn to the shape of the worn discs, and if you reuse pads, you just end up starting to wear the new discs to the shape of the old ones until the pads wear down.

You only need to replace the rear discs if they are significantly worn, or if they have a serious amount of corrosion around the edges that is reducing the swept area.

otherwise, i wouldn't bother.

I thought as much with the fronts pads.

Will have a look at the rear discs I don't recall them being worn heavy.

Thanks

Hi Matey,

Doing Front Disks, Painting the Callipers Black, changing the Brake Lines to Braded, Upgrading the Brake Fluid, Fitting New Front & Rear Pads. All in prep for my 02 wheels being P/C'd Black Chrome with Diamond Cut Face and Spokes.

There's a day in there me thinks.

Why you not coming to Arran It'll be different without you. (there's a song there?)
