.....I have been diligently checking my oil level, and sure enough my car is using oil. So far so good apparently!)......the Owners manual recommends toping up with a 10w-30 viscosity oil. I have now visited 7 garages (2 Esso, 1 Fina, 1 Shell, 2 BP and 1 Total) plus my local Halfords. None of these stocked a good quality (or any other quality for that matter) 10w-30 oil. I am topping up with Mobil 1 synthetic 0w-40, but I see from various sources synthetic oil is not recommended for the 1st few thousand miles.
Anyone have any ideas please???
Thanks
Ian

Ross,
I think Motor World is a chain, the one that I went to was in Bishop Stortford Hertfordshire, and I no of one in Wrexham North Wales. I think there is one in Cambridge.
If you need to find one, you could get the number of your nearest branch from directory enquiries.

At the week-end I thought I will sort this one out once and for all. I drove to my (not very) local Honda dealer (Southern Counties Honda, Crawley) and asked for some 10w-30 oil. I was asked whjat I wanted that for, and when I explained it was for an S2000 I was told that when thwey put oil in S2000's they use 10w-40. Hey-ho!
