Default Slide2000

I havent been in the car for nearly a month, had a bit of brown pants moment coming off a roundabout giving it a bit of beans.

Car slid to left and right at speed, I managed to catch it and back off...phew!

I've done it before but the combo of the tyres having ~4mm and crap/grease on the road equals slide time (should have known better).

Just a gentle reminder, watch crap on the roads etc

I had a moment myself the other morning at half 6 coming home from a nightshift. Bearing left onto another road at no more than 25mph, back stepped out, luckily not much and it was fairly easily recovered, but it didnt help i was half asleep!

Still very very slippy round here.

I had my first tail out moment today when I simply pulled out onto a roundabout. I was only doing 10mphish but because of a thin layer of mud and low rear tyres, my back went to the right.

It wasn't that much and didn't seem to 'snap' out, just slow and progressive which was easily corrected. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I were doing more than 10..

Having sorted out an issue with an odd noise, it's the first time I've had a chance to go for a proper blat since all the snow. Since it's the first time I've had a chance to drive it with the new exhaust, I've been foot down everywhere . Didn't feel any non-provoked loss of traction on the roads round here, do still have plenty of tread though.
