Just had an interesting drive to work which went something like this...
Opened front door; raining. Mental note for drive to work: take it easy on corners and especially roundabouts.
10 minutes later...while driving cautiously
Exit aroundabout and feel rear end step out slightly. Correct, all is fine...phew.
1 minute later at next roundabout, flatbed parked up with hazards on....strange....look 10 metres to the right and firmly entrenched in hedge backwards is a black boxster
Not laughing at someone else misfortune but it did look as if he/she had tried some sort of overtaking manouvre given that a couple of bollards were down in the centre of the road.
Lets not make similar examples of ourselves!!

Oh poo. I fly back from Denmark today and I entrusted the car to Purple Parking for the first time this trip - the ones who pick up and drop off the car to the terminal rather than you getting a bus from a car park miles from the airport.......
Wonder if I'll get it back in one piece?

Not sure I'd trust them with the S though - it's got to be soooo tempting to "see what it'll do".....

No, you drive up to the drop off zone at Departures, swap your car keys for a little piece of paper and walk into the terminal and fly off.
Meanwhile, they drive your car to a secure car park (I seem to remember it's about 5 miles away from odometer readings) and it's left there until you return.
When you land, you give them a call - by the time you're through customs etc, your car is waiting at the arrivals zone get in, drive off.
It is the only way to travel - ultra convenient - you pay

Oh - OK, don't think I'll take the S though as you said !!!
I don't live far from Heathrow so I normally arrange for a cab there and back - but if I ever need to drive I'll give these chaps a call - cheers.

I did also check my rear tyres (currently Eag F1s' - had them for almost a year now, 12k miles) the tread is fine.......but it did remind me of a time when my old S02's were seriously like slicks before I changed them - very scary !!!
