Default Small tear on the inside of Soft-top

Hi,

I've noticed a small tear on the inside of the soft-top (not enough to see day light yet!). What's the best material/glue to repair the tear before it gets worse? And is it worth 'sealing' the tear before I put a patch over it to stop it penetrating through the material completely? From the outside you can't see any signs of a tear at the minute.

Secondly, the tear is just above my right shoulder on the drivers side, is this what the lizard skins help prevent?

DON'T PUT THE ROOF DOWN! I have some roof material I can let you have to strenghen the inside before it goes, it just needs Bostick to glue it in place, (some on the patch and some on the roof). Lizard skins put off the enevatable but slack elastic dosn't help. PM me I send you some patch material.
Have a look at my post, Roof Mechanism Doesn't Fold Correctly, And how to fix it, it may help.

Thanks Rich, much appreciated!

What about sealing behind the tear, is that worthwhile?

The patch goes inside the roof so the Bostic will do that and the repair is invisible from the outside. Mine went through and made a 15mm rip before I fixed it, now you cant see anything there at all.
PM me with your address I'll get the patch in the post tomorrow so you can enjoy top down again ASAP.
