This must be extra-terrestrial, judging by the bearded ghouls riding in it

Hhmmmm Nice sensible car, cheap on fuel and easy to insure.
How much?
Looks like a good replacement for my pushbike

It's slow as death, I had a highly modified Smart with the same engine that was 85bhp and still slow as death!

I can't see any advantages in this POS of a car!

I've read the Autocar articles - looks OK. Apparently the really cheap version (<10K) has steel wheels and doesn't look anywhere near as good as the more expensive, full-loaded version.
I also think it'll be too underpowered.

Come on chaps!...... I'm sure its great fun to drive but as an ex Cappuccino owner I don't think the Smart would compare that well...... 0-60 in 12 seconds!....... the Cap did it in 8.5 (with 63BHP!)...... fantastic handling (dare I say it more fun that the S!) the most direct steering and superb gear shift (again the S2000 is not as good as the Cappuccino!)....... there weren't many things that could keep up with me round twisty lanes.....

And don't forget the superb roof..... coupe.... T Bar, Targa...... fully off......

I know its hard to believe....... but honestly I haven't experienced a gear shift better than the Cappuccino...... its very direct, with a shorter throw than the S.

P.S. I forgot to mention 8500rpm redline but it revs all the way up to 10000rpm (couter goes up to 11000!) ;-)

P.P.S. I'd never swap my S for the Cap!

I drove one of the Suzuki's around Corfu for a day last year. Fun, but nothing exciting compared to an S. The roads in Corfu are worse than even the UK, so not much chance to see what the top speed was.

Wow I didn't know they had Cappuccinos in Corfu! they are fairly rare in the west (only 1000 in the UK) and some imports in the rest of Europe and a handful in Cyprus. Anyway they're not in the same league as the S but great fun when you know what they are capable of (most of the fun starts well past 6000rpm)......

Pulling Power have a review of the Smart on next weeks programme (Monday night ITV)
