This is so cool, sitting here seeing the threads re all you guys forming mini-convoys, and the mini-convoys forming into bigger convoys, all coming up here

It's like that Battle of Britain movie and I'm sitting in the Ops room watching the WAAFs push those little planes around the maps, forming up the planes into Squadrons, the Squadrons into Groups and the Groups into Wings, all in preparation for 'The Big Wing' on Sunday

Mother Hen to Little Chicks; make it a safe one. Red Leader, take care of the new guys, some of them only have a few hours in on those machines. Keep your eyes peeled. Watch out for Plod coming out of the sun. Angels One-Five. Tally-Ho.

How did this thread which started off being (sort of) about the Battle of Britain suddenly morph into Star Wars and the Battle of Yavin......?!

Anyway, since it has, I might as well join in

Great shot, kid - that was one in a million!

(PS Thanks for letting a humble MX5 into the Sunday convoy - I'd prefer the Meet to have been in July when I could have joined in properly, but I guess I'll just have to pretend that I'm driving an S2000 for the time being!)

(PPS Not TOO much VTEC-ing, or you'll have lost me within the first 5 miles! )

It's just occurred to me....... you could be sitting there in cyberspace concocting this mythical supermeet, when in reality you live in Peckham ( no offense you Peckhamites ) drive a Daewoo with fluffy dice, have never been to Shrewsbury, and your visits to this forum are via the local library PC

Thinks..... I better check the hotel exists, and they are ready to cater for 50 ish big kids playing with their toys.
