So I might be taking the V8 out of my S2000 ..
Roll with me on this one.
I have an S13 shell which is slowly getting built up for drifting. I have no engine for it though.
I don't want to spend loads on it just yet but really want to be back drifting in 2016.
I don't want a ca18 or sr20
Don't want to spend loads on a BMW v8
Options I've thought of so far:
I could make the Ls2 quick release from the S2000 and swap it into the S13 when I feel like it.
This would reduce the cost right down as I already own the engine.
Problem with this is initial complexity.
The pain of swapping it though I believe it can be nailed down to 1-2 hours for two people who know what they're doing.
Safety of the engine, from crashing or being crashed into let's say is a bit of a worry.
Another engine I'd like is the Mazda Cosmo engine, 20b 3 rotor jobby with single turbo conversion, but that's not "cheap"
And that got me thinking, what's to stop me putting the V8 into the S13 and drift it whilst saving up for the Cosmo engine and when I get that ... Put it in the S2.
If anyone has a logical solution to my problem of wanting to drift next year without breaking the bank I welcome your input!
Or any input really, go!

Buy this then strip it and sell the bits.

I reckon that'll net you about £2-2.5k
So for £3k you'll have a weapon of a drift car.

I'll keep my eyes open for anything that pops up on the FDUK forum, seen a couple of ported engines and stuff but no 20b's yet. We still need to go out in my RX7!
