Honda UK no longer insist on the ES02JZ instead of the Porsche version.
When I phoned them they told me that the difference was so small that no affect would be felt. When I asked why they used to insist on them, I was told that it was probably something to do with the contract Honda had with Bridgestone and that as Brdigestone had developed it with Honda they had to get their money back some how, so therefore insisted all owners had the tyres (even going as far as invalidating warranties and having those lovely yellow reminder notices printed that they hung from you rear view mirror)
