Default Soft top electric problem ?

Went out for a 100 mile round trip on Saturday night in the cold.

Perfect roof off weather for a start, however a bit of road spray and spots of rain, I think I'll put the soft top back on at the next set of lights.

Stopped, hand brake on, lights are red, flick the switch, nothing happens.

Lights turn green so off I go, just assume that I hadn't stopped long enough or something.
Next lights, make sure speedo reads zero, hand brake on and dash confirms it.
Passenger window will go up and down so not the isolator switch either.

Oh well, the rest of the drive got very cold but I got the car home, chucked the hard top on and left it.

Yesterday, checked the relays, checked the fuse (wipers work though and they are on the same fuse) tried again, flicked window isolator switch and that stopped the passenger window as expected, flicked it again, windows work etc.

Still nothing from the soft top motors or mechanism, the windows won't even go down.

So I am thinking, either the switch or the soft top control unit (is this seperate to the ECU ??)

So, before I give Honda

1st question - is it a GT model?

The switch where the hardtop sits on to cut the electric to the operating switch may be stuck in / down?

**edit**

Just read the bit about the hardtop so yours is the GT model...

Also this switch, does it really cut the passenger window too?

How does the system know the handbrake is on? Is there a seperate handbrake sensor just for the roof mechanism or just the one for that and the dash light?

If there are two sensors, maybe one has moved/gone faulty. Just guessing really.

OK the car has been into Honda.

All tests on the roof control unit are fine.

All tests on the switch in the centre console are fine.

The roof will go back up using the over ride switch.

However it still won't work.

They think there is another Relay hidden behind the drivers seat, anyone know more about this ??

Out of interest, did they tell you where the override switch was?

I took a look through the manual to see if I could find any info about this.

Looks like the emergency connector is in the drivers footwell.
Doesn't explain how it works though.
