Default Soft top inside straps

Regarding the softop straps on the inside of the roof between the two bars.

I read on a thread that if the straps are worn this causes the roof to not fold down as much, is this correct? (looking from the rear of the car?)

Question is i got a new roof installed late last year from carhoodwarehouse, would the straps have been replaced?

I dont have another car to compare to, and i havent had the roof down or drove the car for quite sometime but i think my roof does not go down as much as it used to? - would this be the sole reason?

Cheers

I have seen some pics of S2000s where the hood does not appear to be folded fully down - so I wonder too weather this is those straps you refer to, or where the roof has been changed. Did you change yours from plastic to glass, if so could that be an issue?

I've just had my hood replaced by Honda. It doesn't currently go down as far as my old hood - maybe an inch or two short. Have been told that the new material will take a while to become fully flexible. The cold weather doesn't help matters either.

Exactly what I just did. I think it was Tomkbucks who posted a guide. Works a treat.

Edit: It was Shopman!
