SPECS Camera's in Scotland
It's been deployed in several places on the A77 on the older Southern dual-carriageway section this week. Has it been put to use anywhere else in Scotland yet or is this the first?

I honestly thought we'd get away with it, and that our constabulary wouldn't be as big a bunch of barstewards as those down south.
As usual, they've chosen a "safe" stretch of road instead of targetting the dodgy bits.
How do you know this Gaz?

To be fair, both a places where people gun it and numpties pull out to cross with no thought regarding the oncoming drivers closing velocity.
I drove by the road works on Wednesday, and by the time I came back the camera's, the lamp-posts, the lot were all up! Not sure if it extends further in either direction.

Thought you meant further back at Kimarnock.

Cameras on those blue poles, with the logos in the middle, usually belong to one of the traffic monitoring organisations - the ones that you can subscribe to and they warn you when there are delays.

From memory, all the ones on the M6 have a dayglo orange plate behind or near the camera, although I concede there's nothing like this here.
In your defence, the Strathclyde Scamera Partnership doesn't mention anything about SPECS on its site.
PS. Worth a look before you head for Ardrossan ...
