It is entriely co-incidental that both radron and PJL's engines blew up, and that they both ran the Spoon ECU. I don't think it was ever concluded exactly what led to the engine faliure in each case.

However, I'm a sucker for coincidence so as a result I wouldn't run the Spoon myself

would it be ideal to install a 3rd party alarm like a clifford for insurance purposes?
are there any clifford fitters that are recommendeD?
or does anyone think spoon euro can mod my ecu to work with imibillieser?

I am going to stick with a VTEC controller and have it mapped and just save for a turbo or s/c!

how does that logic work..

because there are blown engines posted every week on UTH forum.. and 99% of the time they have honda ecu's..

feels very risky staying with honda, you should have had that mugen ecu off me

Nick had a good look at PJLs engine at the Institute day and concluded that the likely cause was overheating in cylinder 4 IIRC.

That's right.

It had all the classic signs of No.4 failure and the small end let go.

I don't think it had the baffled sump prior to the failure.
