Default Spoon ECU

I'm interested in this however the only mods i would have is only a decat, snorkle filter and the spoon mod to the stock airbox would it be a bad idea to install this my thinking is because you need to have all the spoon bits and bobs.

Is it just plug and play? ie replace stock ECU and thats it?

cheers

If you want it, i'd just buy it anyway.

It certtainly won't do any harm. I think the more critical bits are the cooling mods though.

You can always add the other bits later.

Plus you get the benefit of lower VTEC and the traction control. I've never managed to find any info on the traction control however, it seems to be more rumour than fact!

Cooling mods? - What thermostat? and rad cap?, and colder plugs? (Im already running colder plugs)

What sort of job would it be replacing the thermostat?

I have just read something about the fuel pipe wiring whats that about?

I'd ask Ant as he used to deal with them.

PS - it's better than the Mugen, it actuall uses the knock sensor which is fairly handy!

I've got a spoon ECU and I can't say I've noticed the traction control! I can't compare to standard as I've never driven a standard S. From what I gather it's a direct replacement and will take 20mins to swap over.

It is a direct replacement.

It's identical to the OEM ECU physically. Just has a bit more agressive timing and a bit leaner from what I can gather.
