Default SRS Light.

The SRS light has stayed on for the last two trips.

Obviously Airbag issue, where is the SRS ECU?

Can't be the standard ECU, as I've got an AEM.

Any pointer/hints please

The search is broke.
Also did a Ctrl+F for "SRS" in the FAQ and got nothing.

There is a module somewhere isn't there, on the drivers side, that you unplug and replug?

Under the dash somewhere?
Interesting. I'll have to get in the footwell and have a look.

Hope I've not kicked one of my soldered wires under there. My wiring loom looks like a spiders nest ..

AP1 - under center dash - whip radio out, there it be!!

precaution: if your messing withSRS wiring, the an absolute MUST is disconnect battery for atleast 15mins. last thing you want is to upset the SRS system and for the airbags to deploy.

somewhere (modifrys free info pages) tells you which pins to short together on the DLC connector. leave the peice of wire in, ign on, and the SRS light will run from blink codes and tell you the fault

pins to bridge: http://www.modifry.com/freebies/old/dtc/index.htm
DLC connector is passenger footwell side.

another note: should you need todo any work on srs - all SRS wires are wrapped in bright yellow conduit and/or yellow tape.

maybe so, but i think it also allows code reading from SRS, ABS and EPS modules too.
if theres a fault with the system it'll show via that DLC short-out method.

i could be wrong though, not had any faults on the S other than EMS.

The SRS light on my S came on a couple of weeks ago. I took it to the dealer who could find no fault on the system, and the only error code was something to do with the battery. However, the battery has been fine the whole summer, but I did have to jump start it last winter. I was a bit surprised to see a battery fault come on so many months later.

Not sure if yours may be related.
