Were you sporting winter tyres at all?
No! The usual Bridgestones at the usual pressure.
Lightweight snowchains were ready in the boot, and the rear tow eye was fitted, but the roads were not that bad. However, two 4x4s going the other way did 'eyeball' me!

We have family friends who used to have the boat house right next to the Leeming House Hotel. Lovely area, and much of my holiday youth was spent there.
Nice idea on the engine bay cleanup up. Maybe a winter job for me and the garaged S

As I said at the end of my original post:
TO BE CONTINUED . . .
So, to pick up on the original story line, the powder coated cam & coil covers arrived just before Christmas. As Rob was in no rush for the old items to be returned, I waited for the snow to clear, and a dry day to arrive, before fitting them. In the event, it was bitterly cold, and it was difficult to feel my fingers whilst I was working, but it all went smoothly.
Some before and after pictures:
In my opinion it rejuvenates the engine bay, and it is difficult to realise it is an eight year old car!
If you are not familiar with the construction of the cam cover, you probably are unaware of the preparation which has to go into the stripping and powder coating process. In my view, excellent value for money!
As usual, a big for Rob and his team at Garage-R!
