Default Steering Wheel Lock Recommendations

Hi Guys,

I am unfortunate enough not to have a garage to store my s2000 in, so it lives outside in a communal residence carpark.
The car is secured with a Toad AI606 car alarm and the standard Honda steering lock, which both works really well.
Thankfully no one has touched the car since I have purchased it, but I was thinking of adding a steering wheel lock as an extra level of security protection.

Has anyone else thought the same? or am I being too paranoid?
What steering locks have people got and what ones are recommended?

The standard well known stoplock one springs to mind, but it is rather large and it would seem it can scratch up the steering wheel. I've also heard it can be opened without any tools. lol. Or is that a myth.

Thanks All.

Most add on steering locks can be forced by stamping hard on the pedal they are wrapped around. But they still provide a visual deterrent, that's useful in a situation like yours that will have eyes on it.

Disklok was the way to go when these were needed.. I have one I would use if I left my cars anywhere.

Ya another vote for the disklok, mind the windscreen when putting it on as space is tight.

Disklok is flipping expensive, Stoplock is not only much cheaper but being yellow is very visible.

Cheers guys, the disklok does look like the more secure option but the s2000 isnt a big car and that must be a faff to get that on. lol.
Wouldn't be too bad if you had a larger car like an Accord or something.

Might give the original stoplock one a go

Alternatively, fit a quick release wheel

Hi have got the Stoplock pro paid 46.99.
This is ideally suited to the S2000.

Love the OEM steering wheel - wouldn't change it but I do agree. A quick release steering wheel would be perfect.

What makes the Stop-lock Pro ideally suited to the s2000?
Reviews say it damaged the steeirng wheel. i.e marks and dents it. etc.
Has this occurred on your wheel?
