Default Stonechips

I'm getting a fair amount of stonechips, has anyone tried Hondas own touch up paint, if so is it any good. The roads round here are crap, is there any sort of treatment that can be applied to give a bit more protection to vunerable areas.

Andy

I get a lot of these, and I have just found out today what I thought was dirt along the base of my sills, is actually hundreds of little chips.( I have had MCB GT since Sept last year)

Honda's touch up paint seems ok - fortunately none of mine are too big yet - with smaller chips I just leave them, as trying to touch them up would make them look even worse.

All I am doing is putting as much wax on the car as possible, in a (probably vain) attempt to reduce the effect of chipping.

I have to say that the paint quality is the worst I have ever seen on a new car - mine scratches if you so much as breathe on it.

The only good thing is that the nose is plastic, so it at least won't rust.

I do not know of any protection you can put on any of the panels.

I have just had to order the Honda touchup for a couple on my S, I think we're stuck with them to get a good match.

For small stonechips, use a coctail stick to apply the touch up paint.

Honda touch up paint, use a thinner before applying.

I hear good things about the company "Chips Away", they come to your door.

I have small chips on the leading edge of the rear wing/door sill, I am considering adding the kit when they get too bad
