was looking at a spoon one from one of the linked sites where we might have membership discount ( ) but at 30 notes is it worth the risk?

We don't have struts so NO. It is pointless.

I have one...it's just for bling.
A lot of threads on this that agree.

Although there are some who disagree.

What a horrible looking thing that is!! have you seen the welds? it looks like you could twist that by hand!! i wouldnt buy it either way!!

Looks really well made!

BTW the top brace doesn't make a lot of difference
Front lower first
Rear lower second
Front upper third
Rear upper don't bother

There's a small difference and it's noticeable to some of us but not to others. Gaspode for instance will swear blind that it makes no difference but he also has fitted the lower braces which make a significant difference. It doesn't appear to be cumulative or it's a case of diminishing returns so a small difference with the lower ones fitted as well would be so small as would make no odds - if you see what I mean!

So really your best bet is to buy the lower one and if you must buy an upper one make it a pretty one - not that tat in essence Gaspode is only right if you are sensible and buy the lower front brace instead/as well.
