Default Sudden radio code alert

Afternoon folks

What a fantastic day to start off with. Secondly just back from a blast back home from work (top right down of course) hitting some glorious vtec notes. I reach the end of the motorway and at a set of lights sense my radio is off. Look down an its asking for a radio code. Any ideas what might have caused this? It's a standard head unit which is getting replaced this weekend but it kind of baffled me as to why it wants a radio code so randomly??

Thanks
Shari

It's decided to say "f@#k you" as a final last hurrah!

It usually asks for the code when the battery has been disconnected...not sure why in your case though...sorry.

I'm thinking that might actually be the case. It doesn't take CDs. When you try to put on in its almost as if there is already one inside and it spits it back out. Battery is fine as I didn't hit any bumps or anything.

Guess il just bin the thing then. Getting a new head unit put in this weekend anyways. Was just hoping its not something serious.

Thanks for the reply.
